Friends are family you choose for yourself. |
2004 May June July August September October November December I became a raw foodist 2 weeks before my 40th birthday (3rd of August) in 2003. I quickly transitioned to a high % of raw. Recently, I decided to create this website to share the information with my raw friends and to have some record of my journey. Today I am starting my raw journal. Here it is. Tuesday, 25th May 2004 Today, I read an interesting discussion on the rawfoodsupport forum between those who like more fruit in their diet and those who like more vegies. I could not make up my mind about which ones were REALLY right. You see, I eat bananas and sweet fruit every day. My life is sweeter with them. I find them nutricious and satisfying. At the same time, I do love my vegies for lunch and dinner. I also like flat bread from time to time, and saurkraut, and nutcheese. Well, it will be interesting to see what my dietary patterns are in about a year. Today, I reminded myself about the importance of being prepared. Do not go shopping hungry. I avoided that cooked vegan restaurant that gave me pimples last time I went there, and had a nice salad for lunch instead, at my office. It was so yummy! I was eating it like a rabbit! Monday, 31st May 2004 The discussion really was about the calories. That is, whether they should be coming from sweet fruit (bananas, for example) or fat (avoes and nuts). Well, I like both. I am starving this morning. Persimmons, grapes, bananas, this is my breakfast. Looks like a salad for lunch. Yesterday, I made my first corn bread. Looks delicious. Must try it tonight. Also, I was making saurkraut again. This time, I was taking photos. I hope to find some time to put them on the recipes. Busy busy busy. Going to Beijing in three weeks. next |
