2005 January February March April May June July August September October November December 2nd August, 2005 I am truly learning about the importance of eating plenty of sweet, ripe fruit. Last Saturday we bought a new type of mandarines. They are large, very sweet, juicy, and sometimes a sweet jelly forms inside them. Then, on Sunday, as a treat for my upcoming birhtday, Luke bouhgt a large box (11kg) of black, sweet, seeded grapes, my absolutely favourite. I searched for their name on the Internet, and I think it is "Concord". Very aromatic, sweet and tasty. I discovered what a difference it made, having plenty of sweet fruit around. I am enjoying eating the mandarines and grapes immensly, I feel completely satisfied, alive, and I think that this is exactly what I needed. I have been recently craving persimmons, which are very expensive here ($1.90 per piece!), I bought a few, but I could easily eat a dozen. What was really happening, I was craving ripe, sweet fruit. Yes, at some stage of raw-food experience, it is possible that one might crave simply sweet fruit. Back to the human origins, isn't it? 12nd August, 2005 I have been raw for 2 years, for about a month now. About a week ago I had my 42nd birthday as well. I celebrated with my family, at home. My birthday cake was half a watermelon, with candles on top, naturally. After the cake, I enjoyed a salad, and watched home movies with Luke, Julia and Odys. For my birthday present, Luke made me a pink-red jumpsuit, great for cold wintery days in Hobart. Aren't I lucky! When I have some more time on my hands, I will do some work on the website. Like changing bmp files to jpg files, adding some more tips, and perhaps uploading a short movie about our raw lifestyle. Plenty of plans, I just need some time for all that. next |
