2005 January February March April May June July August September October November December 30th November, 2005 If you ever visit Adelaide (in South Australia), you must go to Central Market, acclaimed to be the best market in the Southern Hemisphere. This used to be my favourite shopping spot when I lived in Adelaide. It is the most wonderful place, filled with fresh fruit of various types. There are many little shops there that compete for customers, so the prices are fantastic. You can even get a durian in some of several Chinese shops there. I was visiting Adelaide in the last week of November, for some collaboration with my research colleague, and I went to Central Market. I got some sweet lovely mangoes, simply delicious! I feel resentful of not having Central Market in Hobart. I console myself with the fact that we have the best blueberries, strawberries and cherries here. next |
